The JACQUES (French Song Vocabulary, FSV #1) blog post & vocabulary set concentrate on verbs while retelling a shortened version of the classic “Jack & the Beanstalk” story. It is accompanied with the JACQUES (PASSÉ COMPOSÉ ÊTRE VERBS) song (available on the Madame Fipa Youtube channel). All the verbs (except ÊTRE) of the song make up the famous PASSÉ COMPOSÉ ÊTRE verb list (verbs that require ÊTRE to form the Passé Composé past tense) and are also some of the most commonly used verbs in the French language. This set is centered around those verbs and is great not only for beginners who are trying to learn more French verbs, but also for novice/intermediate learners trying to master the PASSÉ COMPOSÉ past tense.
